How to Make Chicken Chow Mein Recipe

Here is a great classic dish! It’s perfect for potlucks and parties or just a regular dinner night lol.

Have fun with it, you can always substitute the meat for your preference of taste.

This is my way of making chicken chow mien, it might not be the official way of making it. But what matters is that it’s tasty and this dish is!!! heheh





Chicken Chow Mein Recipe:



4 Tbs of Regular Seasoning Soya Sauce

1 Tsp of Dark Soya Sauce

1 Tbs of Oyster Sauce

1 Tbs of Hoisin Sauce

1 Tsp of Sugar


Chicken Marinade:

3 Chicken Thighs Boneless Sliced

1 Tbs of Hoisin Sauce

1 Tbs of Soya Sauce

2-3 Dashes of Ground Black Pepper



1 Cup of Sliced Yellow Onion

1 Cup of Roughly Chopped Green Onions

1 Cup of Sliced Green Bell Peppers


1 1/2 of Cooking Oil

1 Pkg of Chow Mein Noodles

1 Tbs of Sesame Oil


Servings: 5-10 People




Step 1: Marinade the chicken. In a medium size bowl put in the hoisin, soya sauce and ground black pepper, mix the marinade and add in the sliced chicken. Stir all together. Put in fridge for 30 min if you are short on time. Leave for 2-3 hrs if you have time.


Step 2: Prep noodles by having a pot of water come to a boil. Leave noodles in pot for 50 sec no longer. Stain and set aside after 50 sec.


Step 3:

In a wok or large non stick pan add in your cooking oil make sure it’s hot before you add your chicken. Cook chicken for 3-4 min until about 90% cooked add in the veggies cook for 2 min on high heat.


Step 4:

Throw your cooked noodles with the meat and veggies, pour over the sauce. Cook everything for another 3 min. Drizzle sesame oil and turn off stove. Done!
